DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (May. 5, 2017) – Mercy College men’s lacrosse sophomore Ryan MacSpadyen (Toronto, Ontario/Seneca College) has been named the Male Student-Athlete of the Month for April.
MacSpadyen had a strong month for the Mavericks finishing with a team-high 24 points on 12 goals and 12 assists as Mercy went 4-2. The sophomore also added seven ground balls, a caused turnover and added two man-up goals. The three-time ECC Honor Roll recipient during the month recorded at least one goal in all but one of the six games and recorded at least two points in each of the six games. MacSpadyen had a month-high four goals and an assist in the Mavericks win over Dominican on April 7th. The sophomore followed that up with three goals and an assist in Mercy’s first-ever win over LIU Post on April 12th. MacSpadyen ended the month with a month-high six points on three goals and three assists at Lake Erie before producing five points against NYIT on April 29th.
