DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (May. 5, 2017) – Mercy College women’s lacrosse sophomore Hunter Isnardi (Hicksville, N.Y./Hicksville) has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Month for April.
Isnardi had another strong month for the Mavericks, ending the month with a team-high 35 goals and 39 points as Mercy went 7-2, securing the program’s second straight berth to the ECC Tournament. The sophomore recorded three or more goals in eight of the nine games and recorded at least one goal in all nine games. Isnardi scored a month-high six goals against Roberts Wesleyan on April 7th and recorded back-to-back-to-back five goal games against Philadelphia, St. Thomas Aquinas and LIU Post. The sophomore also added 88 draw controls, 27 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers on the month, including an incredible 19 draw controls against STAC on April 13th. The sophomore was a one-time IWLCA Division II National Offensive Player of the Week and was named ECC and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week.
