Scouting the Mavericks
The Mavericks enter tomorrow's doubleheader after going 2-1 in the three game series against Virginia State last weekend. Leading the Mavericks two weeks ago was sophomore Joseph Sadallah who batted a team-best .542 (13-for-24) on the week with six RBI, four triples and eight runs scored as the Mavericks went 3-2 on the week. The sophomore recorded a hit in all five games and had an RBI in three of the contests. Sadallah began the week with a 3-for-4 game one against USciences on Wednesday, driving in a run and scoring twice. The sophomore concluded the week by going a combined 8-for-11 with five RBI and six runs scored in the final two games of the week against Virginia State. Another standout for the Mavericks is freshman John Mooradian, who finished batting .368 (7-for-19) on the week with five runs scored, five stolen bases and two RBI. The freshman went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in game one against Virginia State on Friday before ending the week with a 4-for-6 day with an RBI and two runs scored in the series finale against the Trojans.
Scouting the Dolphins
The Dolphins enter tomorrow's doubleheader after sophomore righty Sam Walsh tossed a seven-inning no-hitter in game two as the Dolphins recorded a pair of shutout victories over 23rd-ranked LIU Post on Sunday at Baseball Heaven. The Dolphins took the opener, 2-0, and posted a 6-0 win in the nightcap. Leading the Dolphins at the plate is sophomore Camillo Spinoso who leads the team with a .444 batting average and a team high 28 hits. Another threat at the plate is junior JT Pittman who has a team best 16 runs scored, 14 runs batted in, and a .592 slugging percentage.
