DOBBS FERRY, NY The Mercy College baseball team saw significant improvements in all areas this season. The Mavericks (11-32-1, 7-19-1 ECC) had four regular starters hit .285 or better in their first season playing with wood bats and had strong contributions from the pitching staff.

BRONXVILLE, NY Seniors Craig Ross (Bellmore, NY) and Steve Summer (E. Meadow, NY) each belted home runs in their final game for the Mercy College baseball team, but the Mavericks fell short at Concordia, 7-6 in 12 innings. Mercy finishes the year at 11-32-1 overall and 7-19-1 in the East Coast Conference (ECC).
