CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 6, 2012) - Today, the East Coast Conference announced that Mercy College junior guard Colin Senior (Hackensack, N.J.) was tabbed to the Men's Basketball Player of the Week Honor Roll for his stellar week that helped the Mavericks' earn a crucial league win over Molloy College.
Senior poured in a total of 47 points this week in the exciting 72-63 win over Molloy and a tough 90-79 defeat to New York Institute of Technology. The Hackensack native netted 24 points against the Lions, while putting in 23 versus the Bears. He shot 51.4% from the field and was 6-for-15 from behind the arc (40%). Senior also notched 15 rebounds, five assists and three steals to round out his terrific week.
This marks the first time this season that a Mavericks' men's basketball player has graced the ECC Player of the Week Honor Roll.
Head Coach Adam Parmenter and his team return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 8 when the Mavericks venture to Long Island to take on ECC-nemesis C.W. Post.
