DOBBS FERRY, NY – Mercy College seniors Chanze Wellington (Spring Valley, NY) and Zeki Tukel (Istanbul, Turkey) have been named East Coast Conference (ECC) Scholar Athletes for their respective sports. WHITE PLAINS, NY - At the 73rd Mercy College Commencement Ceremony, 28 past and present Mercy College student-athletes received undergraduate degrees, six received graduate degrees and one received both. The ceremonies were held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY, on Wednesday, May 28.

DOBBS FERRY, NY – The Mercy College softball team enjoyed a level of success this season that it had not seen for quite some time. The Mavericks won nine games, some of which were in dominant fashion and a strong freshman class contributed from game one.

No. 11 C.W. Post Triumphs Twice over Mercy Softball
DOBBS FERRY, NY – The Mercy College softball team was defeated on Senior Day in both ends of a doubleheader on Sunday against No. 11 C.W. Post, dropping the first game 7-0 and the second 5-0. The Mavericks’ record is now 9-30 overall and 2-18 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.

Kowalski Sisters Team Up for Mercy Softball
DOBBS FERRY, NY – The tying run was rounding third as the Saints’ center fielder Catherine Kowalski got to the ball, she fired home to catcher Jessica Kowalski who made a diving tag to nab the runner at the plate to end the game. The Kowalski sisters at age 11 and 12 won the championship on an undefeated team and created one of many great sisterly memories on the softball field.

NYIT Takes Down Mavericks 2-1 and 9-0
OLD WESTBURY, NY – The Mercy College softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday to NYIT, falling 2-1 in the first and 9-0 in the second. The Mavericks’ record is now 9-28 overall and 2-16 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.
