Women's Lacrosse vs. Wilmington (Del.) University Rescheduled for April 27
The Mercy College women's lacrosse game, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2010, has been rescheduled due to rain. The game will now be played on Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2010, at Purchase College. [MORE]

Rain has forced postponements and cancellations for the upcoming weekend for several Mercy College athletic programs. Softball and baseball have had games in Florida wiped out, while women’s lacrosse will postpone a game in Delaware.

MERCY FALLS TO BENTLEY IN FIRST EVER HOME LACROSSE GAME, 15-7
It was an historic day for Mercy College on Wednesday as the women’s lacrosse team hosted its first ever home game in a contest against Bentley University. In the game, the previously undefeated Mavericks fell to the Falcons by a score of 15-7, in Bentley’s season opener.

Freshman Lauren Mateja was honored by the East Coast Conference today as the Goalkeeper of the Week. The honor covers the beginning of the season, and includes all games through March 7, 2010.

Women’s Lacrosse Stays Perfect, Beats Holy Family 14-5
The Mercy College women’s lacrosse team jumped out of the gate with two goals in the first two minutes of the game today and never looked back, beating Holy Family (Pa.) University 14-5 today in front of 55 fans at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Mercy raises its record to 2-0 in its inaugural season, while HFU falls to 0-1.

Women's Lacrosse Dominates Manhattanville 16-9 in First Ever Game
On a cold, blustery day in Purchase, N.Y., the Mercy College women’s lacrosse program breathed life for the first time, playing the inaugural game of its inaugural season. Led by four goals each from freshmen Marissa Hurley and Jamie McPartland , the Mavericks defeated the Manhattanville Valiants, 16-9, in front of 110 fans at GoValiants.com Field.
