Women's Lacrosse Ranked Sixth in First NCAA Regional Rankings

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Apr. 19, 2017) – The Mercy College women's lacrosse team has been ranked sixth in the first NCAA North Region Rankings, which are used to determine at-large bids for the NCAA Championship. The Mavericks are ranked in the regional rankings for the first time in program history.

NCAA Release

Six teams are taken from the North and South Regions to make up the tournament field. Mercy looks to qualify for the program's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament and look to make the ECC Tournament for the second straight year. The Mavericks are currently 13-1 and are ranked No. 16 in the latest IWLCA Coaches Poll.

Head Coach Dawn Anselmin and the Mavericks resume play on Saturday, April 22nd when they host LIU Post at 1 p.m.
