Mercy Women's Soccer Set to Kick Off 2008 at Home on Wednesday,
September 3 versus Nyack

DOBBS FERRY, NY - The Mercy College women's soccer team will get the 2008 campaign underway when it hosts Nyack on Wednesday, September 3 beginning at 3:00 p.m.
First year Head Coach Rachael Safirstein and the Mavericks will return several letterwinners this season, including senior defender Jessica Fabian (Whitehall, PA) and junior defender Casey Kondelka (Bloomingburg, NY), an All-East Coast Conference Third Team selection in 2007.
Sophomore forward Delmara Reece (Yonkers, NY) is back to lead the offense after posting a team-best 14 points and seven goals during her rookie season. She is joined on the attack by junior forward Ann Meenagh (Dublin, Ireland) who scored two goals and assisted on another last year.
After Wednesday's contest the Mavericks will be back in action on Saturday, September 6 with a non-conference road game at Dominican.
