Howard played an important leadership role for the Mavericks in helping lead the men’s basketball team to a one and a half game lead over Molloy and Queens for the final spot in the ECC Tournament. The senior averaged 6.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in a team high 38.4 minutes per game in ten games. The forward also averaged 2.5 assists per game and excelled on the defensive end of the floor with 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. Howard recorded a near double-double with nine points and nine rebounds in the Mavericks win over Molloy on January 13th. The senior later scored a month high 13 points with eight rebounds against Roberts Wesleyan on January 28th. Howard concluded the month with a pair of key free throws in the Mavericks double overtime win over NYIT on January 31st.
