Brown had a strong month for the Mavericks, averaging a team high 13.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in eight games during January. The freshman ended the month with five games of ten or more points and had one double-double. The forward had a career high 30 points along with ten rebounds in Mercy’s win over Queens College on January 10th. Brown followed that up with 12 points and nine rebounds against Molloy College on January 13th. The freshman concluded the month with three straight games of ten or more points, including a 20-point effort against Daemen on January 26th. The forward capped off the month with 13 points and seven rebounds against NYIT on January 31st. Brown was a two-time ECAC Rookie of the Week during the month and was ECC Rookie of the Week on January 16th.
