Elvestad continued his strong play during the month of October, going 3-2-2 in goal with 29 saves, a .707 save percentage and 1.59 goals-against average with two shutouts. The one-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week during the month helped lead the Mavericks to their sixth ECC Championship berth in seven seasons, securing the No. 2 seed. Elvestad also helped lead Mercy to a national ranking throughout the month, opening the month with seven saves to earn the shutout win over Roberts Wesleyan on October 5th. The goalkeeper later made two saves at Millersville on October 12th and one save in the win over AIC on October 16th. Elvestad ended the month with seven saves in the Mavericks’ win over Wilmington on October 30th, becoming the third goalie in program history to record 200 career saves.
