Prince had a strong month of February for the Mavericks in his first season. The freshman was named ECC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-ECC. He also was named ECC Rookie of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week twice. Prince averaged a team-high 19.6 points and 11.4 rebounds per game on a team-best 57.6 percent shooting. The forward ranked second in the ECC in points and rebounds per game, was first in blocks per game and third in field goal percentage. The freshman had five double-doubles and scored in double figures in all seven games. Prince opened his career on a high note, recording a career-high 28 points with 10 rebounds at nationally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas on February 6th. The three-time Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention recipient also had 24 points against St. Thomas Aquinas on February 8th and 17th. He ended his freshman campaign with 18 points, a career-high 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in Mercy’s win over D’Youville on February 27th.
