Heyder continued his strong play in the month of April, recording 14 goals, four assists and seven ground balls in helping lead the Mavericks to a 6-0 record during the month. The junior opened the month with two goals in the win over STAC on April 4th and followed that up with a goal in the win over D’Youville on April 10th. In the win over UDC on April 16th, Heyder had two assists and a ground ball. Against nationally-ranked Adelphi on April 19th, the junior had a game-high four points on three goals and an assist to lead the Mavericks to a 10-6 win on the road. The one-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week and USILA Division II Team of the Week selection followed that up with a career-high seven points on six goals and an assist in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on April 23rd. Heyder capped off the month with two goals in Mercy’s win at Frostburg State on April 30th.
