Kozul had a strong month for the Mavericks in December, averaging 14.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. The senior shot 53.5 percent from the floor in 22.9 minutes per game and ended the Fall semester with a 3.6 GPA. The forward netted ten or more points in five games and had three contests with 20 or more points. Kozul began the month with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting in the Mavericks win over NYIT on December 6th. The senior followed that up with 16 points against LIU Post on December 9th. The forward had his best game of the month on December 15th against Daemen when he posted a month high 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds. Kozul then posted a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds in Mercy’s win over Roberts Wesleyan on December 17th. The senior was named ECC and ECAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for those performances and was tabbed MBWA Division II-III Honorable Mention.
