Women's Soccer Falls to #16 CW Post 3-1
Box Score Mercy College's women's soccer team dropped their
Founders' Day East Coast Conference matchup with C.W. Post
today, by a score of 3-1. Mercy falls to 6-8-0 overall,
including 2-4-0 ECC, and C.W. Post climbs to 10-1-3, including
5-0-1 ECC.
The #16 ranked Pioneers got the scoring started at the 12:09
mark, with a goal by Alexa Niciforo. C.W. Post would make it
2-0 going into halftime, when Anna Svensson converted off a
rebound. The Pioneers scored their third goal at 67:17,
a header by Lauren Bischoff.
Senior Andrea Nash (Katonah, N.Y/Somers) would
score the Mavericks lone goal off a penalty kick, at 71:36. The
goal brought her season tally to four. Goalkeeper
Stephanie DiLegge (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay
Shore) had four saves on the day.
The Mavericks return to action on Thursday, when they travel to
Pace for a 3:00 start.
