Dana Harjus Goal Lifts Mercy Women's Soccer to 1-0 Win at Pace
Box Score Behind a first half goal by junior Dana Harjus (Linderhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst), the Mercy College women's soccer team upended local rival Pace University on Thursday afternoon, by a 1-0 score. Mercy improves to 7-8 on the season, while Pace falls to 5-13.
The Harjus goal came at the 23:06 mark of the first half, as she headed in a pass from Julia Camp (Belford, N.J./Middletown North) and beat Pace keeper Courtany Hagen.
In goal, Mercy keeper Stephanie DiLegge (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) made five saves to earn the win.
Mercy returns to conference action for the regular season finale on Sunday, October 31, at Molloy College at noon.
