The Mercy College field hockey team fought hard, but fell at Manhattanville College by a 7-0 score on Friday afternoon. Mercy runs its record to 0-11, while Manhattanville is now 9-10.

Mercy held Manhattanville in the first half on its Senior Day, limiting the score to 2-0 through the first 35 minutes. In the second half, the Valiants attack proved too much, as the hosts poured in five goals.

Mercy managed just two shots during the game, only one of which was on goal. Conversely, Manhattanville took 22 shots, with Mercy keeper Kristen Znaniecki (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) making three saves.

Mercy returns to the road for another weekend game, heading to Seton Hill for a Sunday matinee.
