Znaniecki Makes 22 Saves in Mercy Field Hockey Loss at Seton Hill

The Mercy College field hockey team dropped a 7-0 decision today at Seton Hill University (11-7), falling to 0-12 on the season.

The Griffins jumped on Mercy early, scoring just 1:43 into the game. In all, six different players scored for SHU.

In goal, freshman Kristen Znaniecki (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) put forth a Herculean effort for Mercy, making 22 saves in the game. The 22 saves is the third highest single game total in Division II this season. The season's best is 24 saves, made by Danielle Luongo of Assumption, in a 2-0 loss to Mercyhurst in early September.

Mercy has one game remaining in its inaugural season, a November 13 date at Kutztown (Pa.) University.
