Mercy Softball Drops Pair to #21 CW Post

The Mercy College softball team lost a pair of games to #21 CW
Post today, 18-0 and 9-0.
In game one, the Pioneers, who entered the NFCA national poll
this week at #21, scored early and often, plating two runs in the
first, seven in the second, and eight in the third.
In the second game, Mercy threatened in the first inning,
putting two runners on base. But CW Post (23-7; 9-1 ECC) got out of
the inning on a double play, when Chelsea Methot (Bristol, Conn./Bristol
Central) lined out and Paige Cauley (Stratford,
N.J./Iona College) got doubled off.
Mercy (8-16; 2-10 ECC) plays at Bridgeport on Saturday.
