Mercy Field Hockey Drops Inaugural Game to Limestone College
Box Score The Mercy College women's field hockey team dropped its
inaugural game to Limestone (S.C.) College 5-0 today.
Limestone thoroughly dominated play, and led 2-0 
at halftime. In the second half, the more experienced Saints squad
took advantage of several Mercy miscues and converted on several
opportunities.
Despite allowing five goals, freshman goalkeeper Kristen
Znaniecki (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) played
well, making several spectacular saves.
The Mavericks return to action on Sunday, September 5, facing
Bellarmine (Ky.) University in Gaffney, S.C.
