Mercy Women's Soccer Falls to #3 St. Rose
Box Score The Mercy College women's soccer team (1-1-0) suffered a
tough 7-0 
defeat at the hands of the College of St. Rose. St. Rose (2-0-0)
is the third ranked team in the country in the NSCAA/Adidas
Division II preseason poll.
St. Rose controlled the game from the beginning, peppering Mercy
keeper Stephanie DiLegge (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay
Shore) with 27 shots. DeLegge managed 12 saves. St.
Rose was awarded 11 corners during the 90-minute contest. Mercy,
meanwhile, managed one shot and had one corner.
Mercy travels to Rockland County on Thursday afternoon,
September 9, to face Dominican College.
