BOXSCORE - Mercy vs. C.W. Post

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 15, 2011) – On Saturday afternoon, the Mercy College women's soccer team was taken down by East Coast Conference-opponent C.W. Post, 2-0 in Brookville, N.Y. With the win, the Pioneers improved to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Following the loss, the Mavericks dropped to 3-11 on the year and 1-5 in the ECC.

C.W. Post scored right away as Jeanine Ambrogi netted the game's first goal after a cross-pass from Prudence Rydstrom. The Pioneers added their insurance goal in the 52nd minute when Elsa Klarin scored off a low cross-pass from Alexa Niciforo.

In goal for Mercy, freshman keeper Krystal Guerrero (East Meadow, N.Y.) made four saves. In goal for C.W. Post, Allie Weiser stopped one shot.

Mercy held the advantage in corner kicks (5-3).

Head Coach Jonathan Feinstein and his club return to action on Thursday when they host Georgian Court at Mavericks Field. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
