Volleyball and SAAC Team Up for DIG PINK at Tonight's Match
Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Oct. 27, 2011) – The Mercy College volleyball team will be teaming up with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee tonight for DIG PINK, an effort to support breast cancer awareness and research.
The Mavericks will take the court tonight against C.W. Post sporting pink apparel, including warm-up shirts, shoelaces, hair bands and more while SAAC will staff a table by the entrance, where they will be selling volleyball t-shirts, sweatshirts and blankets. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research.
Mercy (8-20 overall, 2-7 in the ECC) welcomes the C.W. Post Pioneers (11-14, 4-6) tonight in the second matchup between the two teams this season. Mercy won the first on Oct. 4 in five sets, 3-2, and will look to get the sweep to stay in the ECC Championship race. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
