Jackie Karras Named to ECC Player of the Week Honor Roll for Women's Soccer
Box Score CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 3, 2011) – On Monday, the East Coast Conference office released its Women's Soccer Player of the Week report and Mercy College sophomore midfielder Jackie Karras (Nesconset, N.Y.) received Honor Roll accolades for her two-goal performance against St. Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday evening.
After losing a tough game against St. Rose, 8-0, Karras helped her squad rebound by netting two of the three Mavericks' goals on Saturday against the Spartans. She is currently tied for the team-lead in points with five. She has scored two goals and dished out one assist.
Karras and her teammates return to the field on Thursday when they host another ECC-opponent in Molloy College. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
