CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Nov. 4, 2011) – On Friday morning the East Coast Conference office announced its men's soccer All-Conference teams, placing junior forward William Koki (Aurora, Colo.) on the All-ECC Second Team.

Koki enjoyed an incredible season up front for the Mavericks, leading the squad with nine goals, including two game-winners and a hat trick against the University of the District of Columbia and added one assist to total 19 points.  His goal total was the highest for a Maverick since 2007.

His production was unfortunately limited, however, as he missed four games late in the season on bereavement leave.  Koki's per-game averages ranked him third (goals per game) and fourth (points per game) in the ECC.

The Mavericks started the season 5-1-1 (their first loss coming in double-overtime, 4-3), climbing to No. 9 in the NSCAA East Region on two occasions before suffering an eight-game losing streak, six of which were by only one goal.

Although the Mavericks graduate some key contributors, including two players ranked in Mercy's all-time appearance records, Koki and several other newcomers showed that they may be able to pick up next year where Mercy started this season.
