Mercy Baseball Drops Pair of Games to Southern Connecticut
The Mercy College baseball team dropped a pair of games to Southern Connecticut, 13-2, and 4-0. The games were played in Fort Pierce, Fla.
In the first game, freshman John Casten (Valley Central, N.Y./Valley Central) and sophomore Andrew Bock (Malverne, N.Y./Valley Stream North) each had two hits.
In the night cap, the game was tight through six innings, with SCSU holding a 1-0 lead. Freshman Jesus Jaile (Hartsdale, N.Y./Fordham Prep) doubled in the game.
Mercy will play local rival Nyack College on Saturday afternoon, before taking Sunday off.
