The #6 Mercy College men's lacrosse team earned its eleventh win of the year, beating visiting Seton Hill University 10-7 on Saturday. The game was the final home game for Mercy this season.

The Mavericks (11-2; 7-2 ECC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first quarter on goals from sophomore John Fitzpatrick (Yorktown, N.Y./Lakeland) and junior Sean Wallin (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes).

Seton Hill (6-6; 4-5 ECC) scored three unanswered goals to lead off the second quarter, only to have Mercy score five straight before halftime. Sophomore Mike Marzocca (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) took the game over during that stretch, recording a natural hat trick during that span.

For the game, Marzocca led all scorers with four goals. Wood finished with a goal and two assists. For SHU, James Delaney had three goals.

In goal, Mercy's T.J. DiCarlo (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) made 17 saves, while his counterpart Christopher Ilse recorded 19.

The Mavericks complete the regular season on Saturday, May 7, at Dowling at 7:00 p.m.
