Mercy Baseball Falls to Molloy 8-0
Behind a complete-game four-hitter, the Molloy College baseball
team beat Mercy College today, 8-0. Molloy starter Chuck Fontana
was masterful, earning his fifth win of the season.
Offensively, Molloy scored in each of the first three innings,
and cruised to the win.
Fort Mercy, junior starter Charles DeHart (Staten Island, N.Y./St.
Peter's Boys) took the loss, allowing four runs
in two innings pitched. Offensively, sophomore Andrew Bock (Malverne, N.Y./Valley Stream
North) had a pair of hits.
The series continues on Saturday, with Mercy hosting Molloy for
a doubleheader, beginning at noon.
