Baseball Falls to Philadelphia, 5-2 in Florida

FT. PIERCE, Fla. (Mar. 13, 2012) – The Mercy College baseball team suffered a 5-2 loss to Philadelphia University yesterday. 

Philadelphia improves to 4-8 while Mercy drops to 0-7.

Junior right fielder Andrew Bock (Malverne, N.Y.) and senior centerfielder Mike Gianzero (Highland Mills, N.Y.) each recorded RBI singles in pushing the Mavericks' two runs across the plate.  Gianzero led the squad with three hits.

Head Coach Bob Greiner and the Mavericks will enjoy another day off in Florida before taking on Nyack College (4-3) on Wednesday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m.
