White Records 17 Kills as Volleyball Faces LIU Post
Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 16, 2014) Senior Brenna White (Gardnerville, Nev./ Douglas) recorded 17 kills, as the Mercy College volleyball team faced the Pioneers of LIU Post University on Thursday evening.
The Pioneers improve to 12-10 overall and 7-3 in the ECC with the 3-0 victory, while the Mavericks fall to 4-16 overall, and 0-9 in the ECC.
Senior McKenna Ronan (Chandler, Ariz./ Seton Catholic Prep) had 27 assists, six digs, and one block assist, while junior Abi Foti (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) added four kills, and six digs. Freshman Sa'Naya Johnson (Elizabeth, N.J./Elizabeth) and senior Sonia Morales (San Fernando, Calif. /L.A. Mission College) both totaled three kills each.
Head Coach Kelly Wengerter and the Mavericks return to action on Friday, Oct. 17, as they host the Bears of NYIT at 7:00 p.m.
