Keshinro Records Eighth Double-Double as Men's Basketball Hosts LIU Post
Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 19, 2014) – Senior Olajide Keshinro (Brooklyn, N.Y. / SUNY Cobleskill) recorded his eighth double-double of the season as the Mercy College men's basketball team hosted LIU Post in an East Coast Conference battle on Wednesday night.
LIU Post went up early and held on for the 93-67 victory to improve to 15-10 overall and 10-7 in the ECC, while Mercy is now 2-22 (2-16).
Senior Chaz Morrish (Douglaston, N.Y. / St. Mary's) led the Mavericks in scoring with 15 points, all coming on his impressive 5-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc, and dished out four assists. Keshinro, who was named to last week's ECC Player of the Week Honor Roll, filled up the stat sheet with his 10th double-figure rebounding game of the season, also scoring 10 points, passing for two assists, making three steals and blocking three shots.
Head Coach Adam Parmenter and the Mavericks will play their final road game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 22 at NYIT (9-14, 7-10).
