Post Drives in Run for Mavericks as Baseball Faces Pace University

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 10, 2014) – Senior Ken Post (Closter, N.J. / St. Joseph's Regional) went 1-for-3 and drove in the Mavericks' run as the Mercy College baseball team fell to the Setters of Pace University, 8-1.

The Setters improve to 7-14 overall, while the Mavericks fall to 9-15 overall.

The Mavericks' lone run came in the top of seventh inning, as sophomore Scott Hagan (Mamaroneck, N.Y. / Mamaroneck [SUNY Binghamton]) singled to left field and then advanced to second base on a wild pitch. Post then singled to center to score Hagan and pick up the RBI in the process.

Head Coach Bob Greiner and the Mavericks return to action tomorrow, Friday, Apr. 11 as they host the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport at 2:00 p.m. in the first game of a four-game East Coast Conference series.
