Hagan Homers as Baseball Faces Dowling in Series Finale

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Apr. 27, 2014) – Sophomore Scott Hagan (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck/SUNY Binghamton) homered to left field as the Mercy College baseball team faced the Golden Lions of Dowling College in the series finale on Sunday.
Dowling won the game 11-1 and improves its record to 29-11 overall and 17-3 in the East Coast Conference, while the Mavericks are now 12-24 overall and 8-12 in the ECC.
Hagan's homer came in the bottom of the fifth inning. He went on to finish the game 2-for-4, while junior Giovanni Lasalandra (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) went a perfect 2-for-2.
Head Coach Bob Greiner and the Mavericks return to action on Tuesday, Apr 29, as they travel to Springfield, Mass. to take on the Yellow Jackets of American International College at 3:00 p.m.
