The Mavericks started the week by pushing the No. 5 College of Saint Rose Golden Knights to the limit in a double overtime thriller and ended the week with a 2-1 victory over previously undefeated Bentley University to improve to 3-1 overall.
Junior Nicole Augustine (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) made the ECC weekly honor roll, as she made 11 saves and posted a .786 save percentage over the two games.
Freshman Heidi Serna (West Covina, Calif./South Hills) continues to make an impact, as she scored the game-tying goal against No. 5 Saint Rose – the first the Golden Knights have allowed this season – and scored on an incredible header while falling backward in the 2-1 win over Bentley.
Head Coach Jonathan Feinstein and the Mavericks return to action on Saturday, September 20, as they travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. to face the Lions of Molloy College in the East Coast Conference opener at 3:00 p.m.
