Kelly Makes Career-High 15 Saves as Field Hockey Faces No. 10 Adelphi
Box Score GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (Sept. 24, 2014) – Freshman Olivia Kelly (West Islip, N.Y. / West Islip) made a career-high 15 saves as the Mercy College field hockey team faced the No. 10 Panthers of Adelphi University on Wednesday evening.
The Panthers came away with the 7-0 victory at home to improve to 4-1 overall, while the Mavericks fall to 0-5 overall.
Senior Danielle Jones (Shrewsbury, Mass. / Shrewsbury) and junior Maggie Gardner (Mohawk, N.Y. / Mohawk) were the only two Mavericks to get off shots in the game.
Head Coach Kayte Kinsley and the Mavericks return to action on Friday, Sept. 26, as they will travel to Newberry, S.C. to take on the Wolves of Newberry College at 3:00 p.m.
