CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Apr. 14, 2015)- Mercy College women's lacrosse freshman Grace Davidson (West Islip, N.Y. / West Islip) has been named the Corvias ECAC Division II Women's Lacrosse Co-Rookie of the Week.  

ECAC Release

Davidson totaled 12 points on eight goals and four assists, while adding eight groundballs, three draw controls, and a caused turnover for the Mavericks this past week. Davidson totaled three points on two assists and one goal, while adding three groundballs and a draw control against Holy Family on Apr. 6th. She finished with four points on three goals and one assist in the 19-12 victory over SCSU and capped off the week by totaling five points on four goals and one assist, while adding four groundballs, three draw controls and a caused turnover against Philadelphia.

Davidson shares this award with Emma Farrel from Southern Connecticut State.

Earlier this season, sophomore Melissa DellaRocca (Lindenhurst, N.Y./ Lindenhurst) was named the ECAC Defensive Player of the Week and freshman Nicole Kleet (Huntington Station, N.Y./ Walt Whitman) was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week.

Head Coach Dawn Anselmin and the Mavericks will return to action on Saturday, Apr. 18th, hosting the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan College at 1:00 p.m.
