For the Warriors, Raven Makins led the pack, scoring a team-high 15 points, while also recording 15 rebounds, three steals, and one assist. Lisa Fields also contributed for Nyack, finishing the night with eight points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The last time these two teams met a year ago, Mercy won in an impressive 85-59 victory. The Mavericks remembered that as they came out fired up. The Warriors would only be able to score seven points in the first quarter, compared to the Mavericks 15. Five of the 15 points scored in the first quarter were from Bady.

Entering the second quarter, sophomore Casey Sullivan came out on fire as she sunk two consecutive three pointers in less than one minute to bring the score to 21-7. Clark then added a successful jump shot at the 8:19 mark to add to the Mavericks run. Junior Paxton Reddington contributed a layup at the 6:16 mark and a made jump shot with 5:38 on the clock to give Mercy a 27-7 lead. It wasn't until Jamie McKeither made a jump shot at the 5:06 mark to put Nyack back on the board. The Mavericks were able to bring the lead up to 37-16 before entering halftime. This would be the highest scoring quarter for the Mavericks, outscoring the Warriers 22-9.

The third quarter got off to a slow start, until Kelli Smoot broke the scoring silence at 7:19 with a successful layup after an offensive rebound. Sullivan quickly answered back with a made layup that was followed up by two successful layups by Goodson to bring the score to 43-18. A set of four successful free throws in the final 51 seconds of the quarter by Clark and Bady would bring the score at the end of the third quarter to 51-28.

The fourth quarter was the least successful for the Mavericks tonight, as the Warriors were able to outscore them for the first quarter of the night 23-15. The Warriors were able to score a total of ten points in the first 2:30 of the quarter. However, the Mavericks answered back by scoring nine points off of free throws in the final quarter. Mercy was able to finish the night with the win, with a final score of 66-51.

The Mavericks ended the night with a 55.2 free throw percentage, and shooting a final of 37.1 percent. The Warriors were not able to keep up, as they shot a 42.1 percent from the free throw line, and a total of 29.6 percent on the night.
