Steven Jimenez scored the lone goal of the game off an assist from Mosiah Whyte. Goalkeeper Raul Bonilla made six saves to earn the shutout victory.
The Mavericks would record the first shot on goal of the game in the 9th minute as Lacerda fired a shot that was stopped by Bonilla. That would be the only shot on goal of the half for either team until the 43rd minute when Jimenez found the back of the net off a corner taken by Whyte to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
Mariglen Verjoni immediately responded with a shot, but Bonilla was able to come up with the save and the score remained 1-0 in favor of Molloy heading into halftime. The Mavericks ended the half with a 7-4 edge in shots.
The second half saw Mercy outshoot the Lions 15-6 and force Bonilla to make four saves, but the Mavericks were unable to come up with the equalizer. Mercy ended the contest with a 22-10 advantage in shots and an 8-5 edge in corner kicks.
