Today's Baseball Game Versus Pace Suspended in 10th Inning Due to Darkness
Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Mar. 8, 2016) – Today's Mercy College baseball game against Pace University was suspended in the 10th inning due to darkness with the score tied at 10-10. The game will resume at Pace prior to the two teams' scheduled 3 p.m. matchup on Thursday, March 10th.
The game was halted with the Setters at bat in the top of the 10th with a runner on first and two outs with a 2-1 count on Pace's No. 3 hitter Nick LoBello.
The Mavericks rallied from a 6-0 deficit to tie the game up at 6-6 after five innings before taking a 10-7 lead after seven innings of play. Pace scored two runs in the eighth and one in the ninth to knot the score up at 10-10, forcing extra innings.
