Three Mavericks record hits against Queens College Knights
Box Score The Mavericks are now 11–24 overall and 4–13 in the ECC. The Knights rise to 19–22 overall and 8–13 in the ECC.
Seniors Scott Hagan and Justin Palladino, along with sophomore Nick Arcabascio all recorded hits for the Mavericks in the contest. Arcabascio went 1-for-2 at the plate for Mercy.
The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning when the Knights were able to score all three of this afternoons runs. Joseph Pidoto started the scoring for the Knights when he was able to score off of a wild pitch. Thomas Parish was the next to score as he was brought home off of a sacrifice fly from Joe Morris. Brian Watters scored the final run of the game when he was brought home due to JP Koulotouros being hit by a pitch.
On the mound for the Mavericks was Snyder, who pitched a total of seven innings. Senior Blake Coalla closed the game, pitching one inning and striking out one batter. For the Knights, Cameron Burt pitched eight innings and struck out four batters.
Head Coach Jason Lamando and the Mavericks resume the season series with Queens tomorrow at Hennekens Stadium. The doubleheader is set to start at 12 pm.
