Haines and Jehle Named to ECC Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Mar. 27, 2017) – Mercy College women's lacrosse graduate student Alexa Haines (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and junior Emily Jehle (Wading River, N.Y./Riverhead) were named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Honor Roll for Week Five.

Haines ended the week with 13 points on eight goals and five assists as the Mavericks went 3-0 on the week. The graduate student began the week with a goal and an assist at Southern Connecticut State before scoring a career-high six goals in a win over Holy Family. Haines also recorded two assists against against the Tigers and followed that up with two goals and an assist at Queens.

Jehle posted 15 points in three games on the week as the Mavericks went 3-0. The junior recorded four goals and a team-high 11 assists with six ground balls and one caused turnovers. Jehle began the week with a goal and three assists against both Southern Connecticut State and Holy Family. The junior concluded the week with two goals and five assists in Mercy's ECC opener at Queens.

The awards are the second for both this season and the Mavericks have earned seven awards this year.

Head Coach Dawn Anselmin and the Mavericks resume play on Saturday, April 1st when they host Millersville at 2 p.m.
