Lloyd Named ECC Softball Player of the Week

Box Score 2 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Apr. 10, 2017) – Mercy College softball junior Morgan Lloyd (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Softball Player of the Week for Week Six.

Lloyd batted an impressive .650 (13-for-20) with four runs, eight RBI, two home runs and three doubles in six games. The junior recorded at least one hit in all six games and had multiple hits in five of the six games. Lloyd concluded the week with a strong .667 on base percentage and 1.100 slugging percentage and went 4-for-6 with a home run and four RBI in the sweep of Molloy. The junior ended the week with a perfect 6-for-6 afternoon with a home run and two RBI in a split against NYIT.
The award is the second earned by Lloyd this season and the 11th award garnered by a Maverick this season.
Head Coach Mike Fazio and the Mavericks resume action on Tuesday, April 11th at 3 p.m. at Bridgeport.
