Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy has won two of their last three matches and is coming off a five-set win over Wilmington on Saturday. The Mavericks were led by sophomore Loreto Nunez Casal who had a match-high 20 kills and junior Natalia Garcia had a team-high 51 assists and 21 digs. Mercy is led on the season by the reigning ECC Player of the Week senior Imani DeBose who has an ECC-best 283 kills and 3.49 kills per set. Garcia was named the ECC Setter of the Week and is third in the ECC with 8.18 assists per set and 695 assists. Junior Adriana Lopez-Soto is second in the ECC with 351 digs and is fourth with 4.18 digs per set.
Scouting the Purple Knights
Bridgeport has won four of their last five matches and is coming off a 3-0 victory over Queens on Tuesday. The Purple Knights are 6-1 at home and are led by senior Amanda Hennemann who has a team-high 252 kills with 175 digs. Junior Klein Johnson has a team-high 318 digs and sophomore Carly Killorin has a team-high 752 assists with 215 digs. Senior Emily Burford is second on the team with 204 kills and has 126 digs.
