Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy enters this weekend's matches on a two-match winning streak after beating AIC and Saint Michael's. In their last match on Tuesday, the Mavericks earned a 3-0 victory over the Purple Knights with senior Imani DeBose recording a match-high 14 kills. DeBose leads Mercy with an ECC-best 185 kills and 3.63 kills per set. Junior Adriana Lopez-Soto is fourth in the ECC with a team-high 215 digs and junior Natalia Garcia has team-high 416 assists which ranks third in the ECC. Sophomore Selma Vulic is a four-time ECC Rookie of the Week and is second on the team with 120 kills and 145 digs. Senior NeKendra Liddie ranks second in the ECC with 35 blocks and freshman Stéphanie Lankhorst is fourth in the ECC with 24 aces.
Scouting the Wildcats
Daemen won the ECC Championship last year and appeared in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats are coming off a four-set loss to Adelphi on Monday. Daemen is led by junior Jenn Heritz who has a team-high 124 kills with a .269 hitting percentage. Junior Allison Post is second on the team with 122 kills and 103 digs. Junior Ali Greenwood leads the team with 223 digs and sophomore Isa McCaffrey paces the Wildcats with 249 assists. Junior Georgia Wicker is second on the team with 185 assists and junior Tirzah Peters has a team-high 33 blocks.
Scouting the Redhawks
Roberts Wesleyan has dropped 13 straight matches to open the season and will face Queens on Friday before hosting Mercy on Saturday. The Redhawks are led by junior Kathryn Krchniak who has a team-high 76 kills with 154 digs. Senior Rachel Holmes has a team-high 203 digs and junior Emily Rowlison has a team-high 221 assists. Senior Anastasia Smith is second on the team with 73 kills and junior Tori Westfall is third on the team with 105 digs.
