Scouting the Mavericks

Mercy has won three of their last four matches and is coming off a 3-1 victory over Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday. The Mavericks are off to their best start since 2013 and are led by senior Imani DeBose who has a team-high 204 kills. The senior leads the ECC in kills and kills per set. Sophomore Selma Vulic is a four-time ECC Rookie of the Week and is second on the team with 133 kills and 164 digs. Junior Natalia Garcia orchestrates the offense with a team-high 483 assists and is third on the team with 146 digs. Junior Adriana Lopez-Soto has a team-high 245 digs and sophomore Loreto Nunez Casal is third on the team with 100 kills.

Scouting the Lions

Molloy will face Queens on Tuesday before hosting the Mavericks on Wednesday. The Lions are on a five-match winning streak and are a perfect 3-0 in ECC play. Molloy earned a 3-0 victory over Stonehill in their last match and are led by Kacey Affrunti who is third in the ECC with 183 kills and 3.39 kills per set. Carly Banks is fourth in the ECC with 174 kills and 3.16 kills per set and Jessica Fischetti leads the ECC with 283 digs and 5.05 digs per set. Sophia Smith leads the team with 566 assists and 10.11 assists per set.
