Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is making their first ECC Championship appearance since 2008 and will look to win their fourth ECC Championship in program history. The Mavericks last won the ECC Championship in 2001 and have been led by senior Imani DeBose who has an ECC-best 375 kills and 3.47 kills per set with a .211 hitting percentage. Sophomore Loreto Nunez Casal is second on the team with 282 kills and has a .222 hitting percentage. Junior Natalia Garcia has a team-high 941 assists and is second on the team with 310 digs. The setter also has 149 kills and a .276 hitting percentage. Junior Adriana Lopez-Soto leads the team with 445 digs and recorded her 1,000th career dig in the Mavericks win over Queens on Saturday. Sophomore Selma Vulic is third on the team with 195 kills and is third with 296 digs and senior NeKendra Liddie has a team-high 57 blocks.
Scouting the Lions
Molloy became the first team with a perfect run through ECC play since 2014 and is making their third straight championship appearance. The Lions won their lone ECC title in 2017 and have been led by junior Kacey Affrunti who has a team-high 299 kills with a .300 hitting percentage. Senior Carly Banks has 263 kills and a .236 hitting percentage and senior Sophia Smith has a team-high 950 assists with 251 digs. Senior Jessica Fischetti has a team-high 481 digs and freshman Kathleen Doherty is second on the team with 300 digs. Freshman Chye Davis has a team-high 77 blocks and senior Hailey Wehr is third on the team with 215 kills.
Scouting the Purple Knights
Bridgeport is making their 17th straight appearance in the championship and have won the ECC championship five times. The Purple Knights look to end a three-season title drought and are led by senior Amanda Hennemann who has a team-high 310 kills with 228 digs and a .238 hitting percentage. Senior Emily Burford and sophomore Amanda Keller are tied for second on the team with 246 kills and Keller has a .396 hitting percentage. Sophomore Carly Killorin leads the team with 830 assists and has 257 digs and sophomore Breanna Jones has a team-high 392 digs.
Scouting the Wildcats
Daemen is making their third appearance in the last four seasons and are the reigning ECC Champions. The Wildcats are led by juniors Jenn Heritz and Allison Post who both had a team-high 227 kills. Post also has 196 digs and Heritz has a .241 hitting percentage. Sophomore Hannah McKee has a team-high 480 assists and sophomore Isa McCaffrey is second on the team with 326 assists. Junior Ali Greenwood has a team-high 391 digs and junior Tirzah Peters has a team-high 50 blocks.
