Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy looks to pick up their second win in a row and is coming off a 64-60 victory over Georgian Court on Saturday. The Mavericks have been led by redshirt junior Bryan Griffin who is averaging a team-high 19.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game on 54.2 percent shooting. The forward is also shooting 42.9 percent from downtown and has a team-high eight blocks. Junior Matthew Alectus is second on the team with 11.2 points per game and has made a team-high 11 threes on a team-best 45.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Junior Nakeem Hamilton is third on the team with 10.2 points per game and junior Dayvon Cuffey is averaging 8.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on 48.7 percent shooting.
Scouting the Clippers
Concordia looks to pick up their first win of the season and is looking to snap a 13-game losing streak dating back to last year. The Clippers are coming off a 110-77 loss to Southern Connecticut State on Saturday and have been led by senior Brandon Fields who is averaging a team-high 13.6 points per game. Sophomore Devon Sims is second on the team with 11.7 points per game and freshman Dan Porcic is third with 11.4 points per game. Porcic also shoots 38.2 percent from downtown with a team-high 3.0 threes made per game.
