Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy has won three matches in a row and secured their first ECC Tournament berth since 2008 with a straight-set win over Daemen on Sunday. The win over the Wildcats was the first since 2014 and the Mavericks were led by sophomore Loreto Nunez Casal who had a match-high 13 kills. Mercy has been led by senior Imani DeBose who has an ECC-best 331 kills with a .208 hitting percentage. Nunez Casal is second on the team and fourth in the ECC with 231 kills and junior Natalia Garcia has a team-high 822 assists with 134 kills. Junior Adriana Lopez-Soto is second in the ECC with 398 digs and Garcia is second on the team with 277 digs.
Scouting the Lions
Molloy enters Tuesday's match on a five-match winning streak and is coming off a 3-2 victory over Bridgeport on Friday. The Lions have secured the top seed in the ECC Tournament and will host the tournament. Leading Molloy is Kacey Affrunti who has a team-high 266 kills with a team-high 50 aces. Carly Banks is second on the team with 230 kills and Jessica Fischetti has a team-high 433 digs. Sophia Smith has a team-high 831 assists and Chye Davis has a team-high 66 blocks.
