Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy opened the season with a loss to Southern N.H. before earning a win over AIC on Sunday. The Mavericks were led by senior Natalia Elizarraras who scored both goals against the Yellow Jackets and was named to the ECC Honor Roll. Graduate student RaeAnn Ioannou scored twice in the Mavericks season opener against the Penmen and junior goalkeeper Melissa Torres made nine saves over the course of the two games.
Scouting the Panthers
Adelphi started their 2019 season with a 2-0 win over Wilmington on Sunday. The Panthers went 8-7-1 last year and were led in their season opener by Jacklyn Lada and Kerianne Scorce who both scored in the season-opening win over the Wildcats. Krista Aliscio made four saves in the win to post a shutout.
